Live at the Paramount is the first live album released by Canadian rock group The Guess Who. It would be their only live album until their reunion in 1983. It was recorded live on May 22, 1972 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, Washington. It reached #39 on the Billboard album chart. The 2000 re-release included bonus tracks from the same show which were not included on the original pressing like "These Eyes" and "No Time". Live at the Paramount was also the first album to feature Donnie McDougall and the last to feature Jim Kale on bass guitar.

Despite its generally downcast mood and an unfavourable response from music critics, Extra Texture was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America within two months of release. It produced a hit single in the Motown-inspired "You", originally recorded in London in 1971 with co-producer Phil Spector. The album also includes "This Guitar (Can't Keep from Crying)", which was both a sequel to Harrison's 1968 Beatles composition "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and a rebuttal to his detractors.
We use the Goldmine Grading Guide which is considered to be the standard for record collectors worldwide: Mint | M Perfect in every way. NM or M- | Near Mint | Perfect in most ways. VG + | Very Good Plus | Amazing condition for age. Slightly used. Looked after. Very light scuffs and insignificant scratches. Cover, inners and labels have light wear. VG | Very Good | Excellent condition for age. Used often. Looked after. More scruffs and insignificant scratches. Cover, inners and labels have wear to be expected by age. Audio still amazing! G + | Good Plus | Good condition for age. Has some minor scratches and scuffs but plays well. More surface noise. Audio sounding a bit more vintage but still awsome! G | Good | Average condition for age. Scratched and scuffed. Significant surface noise. Still plays well. Audio slightly affected. For further details of the Goldmine Grading System click here
